Hallam Smiles has attained QIP (Quality Innovation Performance) accreditation, which is based on national standards, state, as well as federal regulations.
The accreditation process integrates the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards into a clinic’s existing set of systems and standards. It provides a systematic and ongoing way to evaluate clinic standards and improve processes wherever possible.
QIP accreditation is entirely voluntary but we have chosen to periodically evaluate our processes and standards to make sure you are getting the best possible care and patient experience.
Hallam Smiles is part of the nib First Choice Dental network with preferred rates for dental services as determined by nib. Under your nib cover you will still receive a fixed percentage back on your treatment when you visit us (depending on your policy). This will result in lower out of pocket costs for you.
Hallam Smiles provides BULK -BILLED dental services to eligible children under the Child Dental Benefits Scheme. The capped amount is $1,095 over two consecutive calendar years.
If you don't use all of the $1,095 benefit in the first year of eligibility, it can be used in the second year if the child remains eligible. Any remaining benefit can't be accessed after the end of the second year.
We will be able to provide basic BULK-BILLED dental services to eligible children such as dental check-ups, x-rays, fissure sealants, fillings, root canal treatments and extractions. Nitrous Gas Sedation (Happy Gas Sedation) is also covered under this scheme. The scheme does not include Orthodontics and Teeth Whitening. Dental services cannot be performed at a hospital under General Anaesthesia.
At the time of the appointment, we will discuss your child's treatment and any associated costs with you before providing the services. After this has been discussed, you will need to sign a consent form. Please bring your medicare card to the appointment to facilitate electronic bulk-billed claiming.
